You really need to get real. If you are suffocating this guy, then you are right, he doesn't want to be out with you and prefers his pals. At least they are fun!!!
You would be 1000 times more attractive to him if you were to get another interest - apart from him, and be less suffocating!!
You need to treat him as you would a female friend. Would you ball her out for not calling you immediately after work? Or ask why she didn't call when she was out with her mates? Your female pals wouldn't hang around you for very long if you did, and why should your bf if you behave like this?! He is a person in his own right, you don't own anyone y'know!!
