There's nothing wrong with a bit of masochism ;) but don't take it too far - if you enjoy getting whipped, your skin won't appreciate it in the long-term, trust me.

Some people are aroused by hitting because it increases blood flow to the skin. So it's not necessarily common, but nothing to worry about.
