Is it normal that i get sudden urges to punch people/things daily?

I have multiple mental disorders, which are OCD, GAD, PMDD, and SAD. I often (usually daily) get random, sudden urges that have nothing to do with what I'm doing to just punch someone in the face or abuse them verbally. I often get angry at random things that make no sense, such as someone sitting slightly too close or too far away from me, a bird flying away when I'm feeding it, and babies being babies (smiling too wide, drooling, laughing, crying.) I have no idea what this is about.

Is It Normal?

  • I assume you're under care for all that you mentioned, so I would suggest going to a gym with a punching bag, where you can vent your rage safely. While you're doing it , make mental note of all the triggers, and then discuss them with your therapist.

  • You may mess with the wrong person and get knocked out. I urge caution

  • I think we all go through such a phase periodically. But I don't think its normal if it happens to you on a daily basis. Since you already said you have the following conditions it is best if you get help. Talk to your doctor maybe or to someone you trust.
