Is it normal that i get scared when positive things happen to me?

When something positive happens to me, like I get a new character I always wanted in a game or when I get the opportunity to visit someone I missed, I start to become scared for my life. I'm afraid that because something so great happened to me that I'm going to die and that positive thing would have mean't nothing. Is this normal, and how can I fix this?

I haven't experienced this myself, though I have experienced sudden waves of sadness during a moment of happiness. Also a really bad phase where I was always panicked about something tragic happening to loved ones or myself.

What I had to do with the latter issue was to just eventually come to terms on my own that no matter how much I worried, it wasn't going to do any good, and to just enjoy what I have in the present rather than incessantly worry about things that are out of my control. People told me this all along, but I had to just get to the point to where enough was enough.

Try focusing on enjoying the great thing in the moment rather than what may happen in the future. Also, for what it's worth, it wouldn't be for nothing if it brought you joy in your life. That is what life is about, getting enjoyment out of things and living a fulfilled life.

Also, I very much doubt that just because something great happens to someone means they are doomed for death, so I wouldn't worry too much! Just try to relax and enjoy the good while it's here!

Think positive and positive things may happen to you.

Act positive and positive things will happen to you.

It pays to be a positive actor in life...
