I think the whole "hate my downstairs" situation needs a bit more probing. If you think it's so disgusting and I would imagine you'd be disgusted at the thought of someone putting it in their mouth.
I simply don't like my downstairs. There's really nothing more to it. I've always been a simple person. If I like something, I like it. If not, I don't. I have a hard time finding reasons for why I (dis)like something. Sorry if that doesn't really help.
p.s. Thanks for writing like an actual person and not how the majority of the world writes. That's one of my biggest urks. XD
