I don't like guys to just ask me out. It gives me a weird, scummy vibe. If I had a good conversation with them first I'd be more interested. Just coming out of the blue and asking me out makes me feel like they like what they see on the outside and that's all they really need. In their mind it's probably to get to know me, but I myself need to know the type of person a guy is before attraction starts to affect me. Otherwise someone just being attractive doesn't work on me.
I consider this a flaw, for the record. It doesn't sit well with me and affects my ability to casually date.
I don't know how normal it is, but it doesn't make you inhuman or bad in anyway. Unfortunately you can't simply change how you feel, just how you perceive. It's something that requires work.
