    Why should it bother you?

    You should be glad you were able to make them aware of something new that they enjoy.

    That's what parents do for their kids when they let them try out scouts, horse-riding, swimming, dance lessons, gymnastics, etc. - only all these things cost the parents money to give you the opportuntiy to find something you might like.

    Grow up and don't be selfish.

      I'd have loved it if my parents took an interest in the stuff I like.

      Her parents actually sound like loving, caring parents.
