Is it normal that i get a weird crunching noise in my ear

For a few days now I've had this really fucking annoying noise in my right ear and it's driving me insane. Basically whenever i move my jaw to the left or clench my teeth, I can hear it in my right ear. It's much louder if i clench my teeth and then move my jaw. It's kind of like the sound of marbles rubbing together in my ear. Please say someone out there knows what it is

  • Go to the dr if you don't think you have stuck a few marbles in your ear.

  • See a ENT or your physician! There could be something stuck in there!

  • I have TMJ and my jaw "clicks" and makes all sorts of sounds when I move my jaw. Sometimes it's just allergies. Stop eating/drinking dairy to keep the fluids thin and drink more water.

  • I usually get that with congestion. Try stretching your jaw, like a big yawn, and massage around your ears while you do. It should help your ears to drain, and help put the everything back in place.

  • I had that once, it lasted a few days and went. If it doesn't go soon I'd go and see the dr!

  • Go to the doctor, there's probably something stuck in there. I remember reading about a kid who had the same problem, and when he went to the doctor, they found two spiders (one dead, one still alive) inside his ear.

  • Does it happen when you swallow too?

  • It's normal. Stop clenching your teeth and flexing the muscles in your jaw before you develop an actual problem. Fucking shit.
