is it normal that I found a dead raccoon UNDER my fridge?

  • It's rare, but sometimes when an animal dies during a game of hide and seek, they may not be found for years. Your raccoon may have been a particularly good hider. And especially if he had a weak heart to begin with, the excitement and adrenaline of the game can sometimes bring on a heart attack. It's sad because the other animals would have been looking for him completely unaware that they only had minutes to save him.

Needless to say there have been calls to change the rules of HAS by bringing in third parties to whom the animals will notify of their intended hiding spots etc. It's a bit controversial and many think it will ruin the spirit of the game. I'm not sure; if it saves lives I guess it's a good thing.

Anyway, RIP Raccoon. I hope they find you in a better place.
