I don't do it quite like that, I don't drop things, but I'll set them down and have no memory of it. It's like it's not a fully conscious action. For instance if I'm holding a tool I just finished using and start another task, there's a good chance the first tool will "disappear". I later find it on some random shelf, but have at best only the dimmest memory of putting it there.
Is it normal that I forget I have things in my hands?
