It is illegal and someone can report him. There were stories about guys being charge and labeled sex offenders for the rest of their life (as far as I know it is for the rest of your life). For his sake if he is dumb enough not to know those things stop it until you are at least 18. On a side note it is actually normal of you to be attracted to guys who are older or old. A friend of mine back in HS had a crush on her 45 year old neighbor and would try finding any excuse to go and visit him. The guy was definitely attracted to her but he never made any moves. And believe me she tried. One thing that i can tell you for sure is no matter how mature you think you are, at 17 you are still a kind and believe me he is not after your brains. I am sorry to say it but if a 35 year old goes after a 17 year old there are certainly some issues. Men are naturally attracted to high school girls, it is sort of a fantasy for them, like a nurse or a teacher. I am just afraid that for him it is just a fling and you in the end will get hurt.
