It could be worse. I remember a 15-16 year old girl bragging about how she fooled around with some 23 year olds before. Yeah, she was a fast one. And my junior year, I heard she'd got knocked up. Wasn't a surprise.
If 17 is of legal age where you are then it's fine. Just use protection.
