Is it normal that i find my dreams more appealing then real life?

ever since I was a kid, I hated living a normal life. I'd have dreams that would be fantastical or different from my normal life that I'd start to enjoy the dream I guess. But then I'd wake up and realize that it wasn't real, and become depressed, even the ones that scared me seemed more interesting than real life. It probably sounds really silly, but I'd also have dreams about being in a relationship, then I'd wake up and have feelings of loneliness that I'd repress again. It probably sounds really stupid I know...

Sounds like me. Except my dreams aren’t just at night it’s like all day. I daydream excessively, one time I went for 8 hours straight and I didn’t even notice. Any free time I have I imagine I’m a character in a fantasy world that are almost always bloody and painful and tragic ( and I look crazy cuz I start crying out of nowhere or making facial expressions or talking to myself) It’s been like this my whole life. Sorta sucks cuz I’m wasting my life away but it makes for some good stories.

I'm a lucid dreamer and they are amazing. Mine are usually about the depths of the ocean.

Fantasies (dreams) exist for a reason. Dreaming is good as it gives us a break from the realities of life. Maybe you should add som spice to your life if the dreams are more exciting than reality. Nothing crazy, but make reality worth living for it.

I once had a dream that I kissed Peter Tork and I felt great. Then I woke up, and felt very disappointed, and let down.

    Try writing a book.

    And look into lucid dreaming!
