Okay... so you are a lesbian (or even an adult woman) who has no idea how to masturbate...
Buy a book called "The Joy of Sex" - while written with heterosexuals in mind, I am sure you will find masturbation techniques in there that will assist you.
One of my favourite memories was accompanying my teenage daughter (at her request) to a youth clinic for contraception and the two of us in the waiting room, me reading Joy Of Lesbian Sex (which I already knew a lot about anyway) and her reading Joy of Sex ....
Which I guess means both books are now quite dated, as am I, and there's probably better information available if OP cares to look for it.
Is it normal that I find it hard to get off with toys?

Stick to clitoral masturbation and cunnilingus. There is no "rule" that says you need something in your vagina to have "sex".

"Joy of Lesbian Sex" would be even better, but it was published nearly as long ago as Joy of Sex, so maybe neither available anywhere these days.

Just checked - it's still available on Amazon.
Thanks. I was asexual for a long time, so I'm kinda new to it all....
