Okay, so I don't think I have a fetish, but for some reason I find nicely trimmed fingers, or and nicely painted fingernails cute. Especially on a cute girl. I don't like seeing Megan Fox's thumb because I think it looks weird. But is this normal?
Not creepy at all. Like he says he probably doesn't have the urge to splooge all over a woman's fingers and/or rub himself against one hand whilst stroking the other with his anus.
I personally agree that if a woman has ugly hands (nail-biting, too fat or too long fingers) it can be a real turn-off. This does not mean that I myself (or anyone sharing my feelings) has a fetish concerning hands, since a hand as a functional and objectively judged part of the human body does not evoke arousal.
I see it as a similar situation to a guy liking a woman's skin (being soft, properly toned, and/or flawless). This is generally seen as an accepted part of the female body to admire, but in itself would not be cause for a heightened sexual interest.
I think that especially men have the ability to judge women on the strangest and most trvial aspects of their appearance though. Often this is often not even based on logic or reason (for example: objectively speaking, why would a woman's ass be considered attractive? It merely farts and feces and guys have one of their own).
Regarding hands specifically, I think they are a very good indication of how well a woman takes care of herself. If they are large and hard one would relate this to hard and manly labor, which does not meet the female stereotype. Or if the fingers are long and too skinny it can look creepy. In your case, chewed fingernails (I am sorry to say) can give the impression that the woman in question is grooming herself in a wrong way.
