Is it normal that i find eye contact sexual in a way

So it does not matter who I am talking to but the thing is, whenever I talk to someone and they look me in the Eye, I almost feel sexually violated or like they want something from me.
Does not matter who im taking to.
So I find eye contact basically sexual, I DONT get turned on by it but I feel like there is something primal to it.

    • so not sexual?
Even if I never break eye contact during a conversation?
I have to say that is super weird and sexual.
I like to call it "eye fucking", that does not make sense for anyone else but me I guess..

      • I think that the problem is that my parents really never made eye contact with me during my childhood.
And so it became norm for me that eye contact is not a must when speaking to an another human being.
The only times I Make some REAL eye contact is either during "sexy time" or when I get high

Eye contact is definitely sexual in today's world. Majority of human contact now is over technology, so eye contact doesn't happen as often. It's a similar concept to how women in Hindu cultures cover themselves, and it seems like a big deal when they show their faces. Anything that doesn't "normally" occur, often feels sexual because sex is a type of human exploration. It's public "taboo"; some people are still uncomfortable discussing sex in public. The lack of "real" human contact has sexualized normal human interaction. A shame indeed.

yesnomaybeso brings up a good example. Studies have shown the effect eye contact has on attraction. Women especially react well to it.

    • And women are the only people I dont break eye contact with.
But with other men, I dont look them in the eye for too long.

  • Maybe you're traumatised. Not all eye contact is sexual, mostly it is not sexual at all. You can always break it if you feel uncomfortable.

I've noticed how some hijabi girls smile if I maintained eye contact with them. I'm a white guy.

I steal the souls of those who dare look into the depths of my eyes. "Their souls are mine!"

There's these events around the world, you can find them on fb, called "The World's Biggest Eye Contact Experiment"
They do them in random cities. there was one in my city once, and people just sat down and everybody was silent and stared at each other.

and then after a while, somebody posted saying that couples had actually started there :p

google it up to see if you have any even in your city soon
