Ok here is the deal. I'm not psychiatrist but the quick emotional attachment is a sign of maybe some mental issues. I'm not insulting you by saying this because I have been in your shoes before. Either you are really young which means you are quick to jump aboard with no reservations... or maybe you were extremely lonely or distraught hinting the sudden attachment to him since he is there and you feel secure with him. Either way, give it time and after 6 months then see how ya feel.
