Many people feel like or believe that racism is only towards black people. But it's not true. Those comments about asian people and chinese are usually not serious, they are just jokes. I know it's still bad and but I think that if you try to think of it that way it wont feel so bad. I don't think many people can be stupid enough to actually think those things about asians, as you say, the big asian religions are all about peace. (Btw, asian has the best religions, this is coming from an atheist.)
