I have asperger's so I think I can help you understand it and why I think it's normal.
A person with asperger's needs to focus a lot more on stuff that are not handled and processed automatically like others. We also like to over-analyze stuff. So this is where our problem comes in, to socialize.
This is one of the trickiest things to master as a asperger's person because socializing is a wide range of alternative ways to speak and understand a person. When you over-analyze a social discussion, it results in not understanding what the person means because the whole point is to not think too much about what you say, but the trick is to to speak from the 'heart'.
The expression I just used (from the heart) is also just an even better example of what we don't understand because it's too complex. Math is not as complex as socializing because the patterns require only that we focus and understand something that is so concrete. Which is why we love doing math.
So to the point, drinking alcohol makes you more open and you think less of stuff and mostly you just... do them.
Which is exactly the reason why you have it easier to talk to others when drunk. Not only because you are talking to drunk people, but because you act less "careful" I could say. Which is also why bro, that you can get a lot of positive feedback sometimes from people saying that you are a very intelligent person (not while drunk).
Is it normal that I feel that alcohol treats my Asperger's?
