The taboo on sex has really been lifted more and more as time goes on. People dont tend to place the importance on the act that was once the cornerstone of healthy relationships.
Years ago people were encouraged to wait and it was considered respectable to do so, perhaps it was thought of as "cool" to do so. Not anymore, now its "cool" to have casual sex whenever the possibility arises.
