I remember the first time I found out about this.
I was talking to my Aunt about clubbing while driving her back from the doctor. She told me about what women like to do at clubs, and explained to me the concept of hooking up. I am not a sheltered child by any means, but this "hooking up" thing really mystified me, as I thought only women in movies, TV shows (Sex in the City) or very sexual women do this. I did not think that it was a common method of uh... dating?
I know what you mean, unfortunately, I have a lot of friends that do what you described, and they come to me asking how I find men that want relationships while all they find is men that want sex... maybe it has something to do with my not offering my vagina to them on a silver platter the moment they smile at me? Wow my thoughts are too negative.
Normal. However, I feel bad for women who try to seek healthy relationships by doing this. I know a lot of women do it "right", but most don't. "That life was lust and liberty", I tried something similar to this once. I didn't get nearly the satisfaction that I did from long-term romances.
Is It Normal that I feel so old-school compared to today's dating?
