Is It Normal that I feel so old-school compared to today's dating?

  • We are sadly a dying race. I prefer the past standards on love than the modern ones. People had respect for themselves and weren't constantly hitting the sack. They met someone and confessed their feelings for them. They took time to get to know them better and would slowly take it from there.

Modern society has changed all of that. People are sluts who have one night stands and once they get up in the morning they barely give thought to that "random stranger". They don't wait anymore, everything is pressured! Then there are all of these STDs that you didn't have to worry about in the past.

The Internet is convenience and laziness at best. They are pros, but there are also cons.
I especially hate how people will break up publicly on something like Facebook or won't even have the decency to tell the person face to face so instead they text or call them.

Humanity is really going down the drain!

    • Its not that everyone is more slutty now than they used to be, its just that you hear more of it now. Ever heard of the Cyrenaics of Ancient Greece?,or the Cult of Dionysis?, or the Romans? That was pretty much their philosophy, do as much pleasurable things as possible, also, this was very common in wild west frontier towns, prostitutes were numerous!
People wanting to simply "get their rocks off" isnt confined to todays world, its just that the mainstream does its best to "sweep it under the rug", but technology evolves and more people speak out against the victorian attitude, the more we are made aware of it.
Its just that the internet allows people to easily find a lot of people who feel the same way about something, and now they are less likely to think of themselves as a freak.
