Is it normal that i feel like im a spectator of reality?

Usually whenenever I'm totally alone, I start to think of other people and I feel like I'm not meant to exist in reality. I also feel outside of time. Like I'm watching it pass and everybody is moving on while I watch from the sidelines.

It depends ...depersonalization, alienation or detachment can be signs of emotional disturbance if they are accompanied by a total lack of feeling for self or others.....

  • I've felt like that for years. I class myself as an observer.

I think everyone has moments like that. One of mine was yesterday when everyone was celebrating New Year and I was sitting there thinking how depressing it all is. I'm usually a very happy person but this happens quite a bit, I'm sure it's normal:)

      • Curious to know where you got that profile picture from, it looks interesting. Can you link me to where you got that picture? I would like to have it.
