Is it normal that I feel like I can't ever love again?

  • You're all of 18 years old. Take it from someone with a bit more experience: All the hurt and pain of failed relationships and everything else goes away in time, and I'm fairly certain that that's what is holding you back. Either that, or you just haven't encountered enough different people to spark your interest again.

Here's a funny thing that you're not going to believe until you figure it out for yourself, though: You will feel the way you think you feel until you forget to feel that way anymore.

Just bear one thing in mind: Nobody is perfect. For good or for ill, there are no gods among humans, so nobody is worth idolizing as such. But that also means that there's no one perfect person that you need to search for. Just keep your eyes open for a person that you can like, and make things happen.

Love is a grand experiment, and unfortunately, science is a thousand failures before one success, but as long as you learn each time, you're still making progress. Don't listen to the heartbroken saps that are stuck in doubt themselves; one day they'll look back too and wonder why they let themselves get stuck.
