Is it normal that i feel invisible people watching me?

Ok so I've had this thing ever since 6th grade where I've felt my crushes watching over me while they're invisible. It's not only my crushes but also celebrities that I find extremely attractive.

It sometimes feels like I'm being given the chance to show them who I am so they'll eventually start liking me. Now I have a boyfriend and I still get the feeling he's watching me too. Is this normal?

Is It Normal?

  • I had more or less this same thing for a while, except instead of them being invisible, they were sort of in my head looking out. I think I got that from some book I was reading. Anyway, same basic idea though.

  • It is a medical disorder where people feel like people are watching them and/or think about them all the time

  • oh my God I am so glad you posted this, I've been wondering the same thing forever and found no articles or anything relatable at all. I still hae no idea what it is but at least I know I'm not alone. It has to be a good thing though, I mean we have to be super creative to go through something like this.

  • Only you will know how seriously you are taking your delusions, and if its not causing you any real harm, then there is nothing to worry about. However, DO NOT TAKE STIMULANTS LIKE METHAMPETAMINE as this can develop into psychosis/neurosis in short order. There is always the remote chance that you live in a place thats haunted and you are misconstruing their observing you, but more likely, its what everyone else before is saying.

  • i get this too, seems like a common thing. It means you have imagination, are extremely intelligent, and a free spirit. It doesn't appear there is anything harmful about it. Your mindful of it, that's the best thing you can do.

  • I get this too, and by the looks of it, other people do too.
But if it doesn't freak you out or anything, what's the harm?

  • no, i don't think so. your little kid imagination developed this and i suppose you sort of liked it. now it's just a habit.
