Is it normal that i feel girl babies get more attention?

It seems like girl babies get more attention than the boy ones.
Whenever someone I know has a baby and it's a boy, people will pay attention to him for a little while.
However if someone has a girl baby, they adore the shit out of it.

Why?

I am a female, and when it comes time where I want children, I would prefer a boy. :/

    My husband's family is totally different. All of them favor boys over girls and men over women.

    I have seen both! I have seen times when the girl gets more attention than the boy, but I also have seen times when a boy gets more attention than the girl. I guess it depends on the baby and the people. If one baby eats up the attention and the other one ignores it, then why would you keep on giving attention to the baby who ignores you? I think thats all it is.

    LOL first time I've heard a baby being compared to eggs.

    Anyways I suppose girls are prettier and stereotypically delicate but I'm the same, I really want a little boy once I find something mentally challenged enough to settle down with me.

    Baby girls are precious. Not the one based on the novel push by sapphire but, the one where joy materializes through your eyes. Personally I have no baby preference, just dont let me hold them. I consider them like a crawling carton of eggs: so fragile and messy.
