Is it normal that i feel dizzy when i stand up?

So whenever I stand up from bending down or picking something up, I get super lightheaded and dizzy and feel like I'll lose my balance. I also often lose some of my hearing and vision, lose sensation/get tingling in my limbs, and get a massive headache in my forehead area. After getting up I usually have to lean on something for a minute or so and it passes, but sometimes the hearing/vision thing takes a little longer to go away.
Its the worst after I've been squatting down or bending over to pick something up, but it sometimes happens when I get up from sitting on a chair. For example, today I was leaning over a bit to sweep the floor, but every time I stood straight up I was really dizzy (which is why I'm posting this!)
I've seen a doctor and done a few tests which all came back pretty normal (blood sugar, blood pressure, blood count, iron, etc.), so I'm starting to think this is normal and maybe it just happens to some people! Thoughts?

Maybe consider certain vitamin deficiencies? Anemia? Dehydration? see a doctor this isn't normal.

Happens to me if I haven't eaten well or get really hot. And when my monthly is due it's more common.

Sounds like low blood pressure, or not enough hydration.
Always check your blood pressure, when you feel fatigue, or dizziness.

Personally, I have high blood pressure, so my warning is a headache, or a weird tense feeling I get. Quickly remedied by a pill.

Stay hyrdated. this happens when I don't have enough water, but if it's always happening, that doesn't seem right.

Your brain suddenly loses a noticable portion of blood by standing. This causes the woozy feeling. To be conscious you need to be constantly feeding your brain oxygen, to slightly hamper the circulation leads to that.

Some medications do this. Either way, it's not normal.

That happens to me when I dont drink enough water(though I get leg cramps on top of it). Are you adequately hydrated, OP? If you're not getting at least 8 cups a day, you might want to up the water intake.

    • Thanks, I'll give it a go! :)
I was thinking it might be dehydration but it happens every day seemingly regardless of how much water I've drank

Oh, honey, that doesn't sound good at all. I'm sorry that you are experiencing these symptoms, but I really think you should consult with your physician.

Back issues can cause this, it has been happening to my dad for years. Not sure exactly what is going on but I would recommend a chiropractor for you mate.

  • That sometimes happens to me but it’s not often. I remember when I quit antidepressants it happen a ton. I get headaches a lot and when I bend down with one it’s so painful it almost makes me feel weak.

Sounds like orthostatic hypotension to me. Are you on any meds? Are you male or female?
