Is it normal that i feel comfortable and relaxed in abandon places?

Ever since i saw abandon factories. It feels very soothing and calming to be in such a place. when i see the inside, the decaying and crumbling walls are really beautiful place in my opinion.there too many abandon places that i would like to go if i have time.

Is It Normal?

  • I agree, i love visiting abandoned places, its so fascinating and eerie.

i really like the lost America night photo sets. the way he lights them up really brings them out and gives them a surreal feeling to them. Plus the way he describes them, its like you are actually there!

  • All of southern California will be like that once their water dries up.

  • Normal I guess but I would get freaked out.

  • I'd love to do that. In fact, there's an old abandoned hospital not too far from where I live. I think the building itself dates back to Victorian times, but it can't have been out of use all that long. However, the lower floors are all boarded-up now and there are warning signs all around. Located in a residential area and fitted with CCTV and alarm systems, it would be very hard to get in.
So there's no one watching those old factories you go to?

      • We're not the only ones! There are groups of enthusiasts who like to go exploring these places together. You get more safety in numbers, plus you can watch out for each other in case something happens or the place is guarded (legally speaking, this is probably trespassing), but I suppose joining a group would completely defeat the purposes of solitude and relaxation...
Btw, have you ever watched "Mirrors" with Kiefer Sutherland. It has such a cool setting, an abandoned department store.
