Is it normal that i feel a connection to a stranger?

I see this person every day, and for some reason I feel like we have this weird connection. If you have read the book 1984, it is very much like the relationship between Winston and O'Brien.

I am not very attracted to them, but for some reason I feel like we think the same. We have not talked to each other, but when I look at them I feel like I am looking at myself.

How normal is this?

    Probably yeah if you always see them around.
    There's this guy who lives in a house nearby that i've seen around many times the last few years. I live in a pretty small town though but there's some people you see that sticks out from the rest even if there's nothing special about their apperance or anything. I don't know if it's a connection but possibly yeah.
