Is it normal that i eat my dog's finger skin?

I've had my labrador dog for 5 years since he was a puppy, and I have grown into the habit of eating his front paws finger skin after every time I wash him. It tastes a bit like bacon, but it's more of a habitude than the fact i like it. I don't eat my finger skin, so I was wondering if that was normal?
