I dropped out of high school in my 12th grade year. Is it normal?
I finished all my grades even though after entering grade 10 I knew I was unhappy and learning nothing. That diploma still didn't help me find work either.
I still struggled and got passed up by every else since they were dating the bosses daughter or that kind of crap. You can try to get your GED its the same as a diploma.
They also have a thing called adult school for people who dropped out. My 11th year they put me in same classes for year 10 so I didn't get to learn what I was suppose to learn with other 11 graders. It was an error with the system and they misplaced everyone in school that year. Which took a year to repair the files and put the children in the proper classes.
Than the school told me "Its no big deal they are not really learning anything" and I was forced to redo 10th grade another year. So pointless and boring going to a class you know doesn't matter, is not teaching you anything, and you already did before.
As well as all the 10th graders treating me like a weirdo since they said "You are too old to be here you freak". It wasn't very pleasant and it was a struggle being forced to be with younger kids and wishing I could socialize with people my age.
