The whole 'drinking alone is bad' thing is bullshit. Where you drink has no correlation to any sort of drinking problem. Drinking alone isn't 'bad', in fact it can be a very wise decision since you're safe at home, no driving, no worries about getting into trouble.
Better ways to judge whether or not you might have a problem is to look at factors such as spending money on alcohol that you can't afford to spend, blacking out often, making too many risky or bad decisions that you regret later on, missing work/school due to alcohol related issues, and getting into legal trouble when drinking but continuing to drink despite all that.
Is it normal that I drink by myself?
