1. Tell yourself every day as often as you can, "I am strong!" Say it loudly and often. Eventually you will start to believe it.
Affirmations help us realize we are not weak in any way. You can repeat this as often as you need to. "I am strong mentally and physically." Or "I am healthy. Mind, body and soul." Or you could try both.
You can even make up your own. Just remember to be positive about it. You can try going here too.

2. Find something you like to do and commit yourself to it. Maybe volunteering at a local animal shelter or church. You'll discover that there is someone or something out there that needs you. And you'll feel good if you help an animal or a person.
Also, you should seek help if you feel the need to hurt yourself. A doctor, a friend, a relative, a spouse... I'm sure someone will help you.
