I can understand why your brain would do that, and I can totally understand the distress that such a huge blank spot where you, according to convention, should have many innocent, happy memories, but- and I really don't want to sound callous here- but if it were really a bad enough period of your life that your brain would systematically cauterize years, would you even want to get those memories back?
Is it normal that I dont remember anything before age 10?
