I don't think this is the norm; however, I don't think it is wrong either. It is good to know yourself and what you want. I think that being a little selfish is good for getting ahead in your own life and career. Maybe you might learn to love someone, you shouldn't believe that you won't ever experience love for another person, be it a husband or children.
