It may not be normal, but it is still an accepted and valid way to live.
The biggest question I have is, what IS normal?
Compared to just, what is popular?
Life is what you make it, you don`t get a second chance.
You are not causing any harm to others, so what is the problem? Are you really happy in yourself living a solitary life? Deep down, ask yourself - do you want more. I`m guessing you secretly crave the fairy-tale.
