Is it normal that i dont know my dad?

All my life i thought my real dad was my dad. Truth is he was my step dad all along. I just found out a few days ago he was my step father , and that my real father i never met. Is that normal?

  • Well for me it's normal. I haven't met my real dad either.

The fact that you haven't met your bio father is totally normal. However, your parents deciding to tell you at an age where you can at very least read and write is not normal. They messed up.

I don't think it's normal that you literally have no idea who your real dad is, or where he is. Do you know why your mom never told you about your real dad? Was he a druggie or something?

BTW, I had a wonderful Step-dad! I loved him very much! I was broken when he died so young!

Same here! My Dad died before I got to meet him but, I did meet his wife & we had a lovely relationship until she died! She even left me an equal inheritance, the same as all the other kids got! Well, I'm 50, not exactly a kid but you know what I mean!
