Is it normal that I don't want to live beyond 60?

  • I am also afraid of getting Alzheimer's. I take preventative measures, even though I'm only 36. You're never too young to start. Both grandparents on my father's side got it. And I had to take care of them. It was a nightmare. My hope is that I will die before I ever get it. But at least I'm not biologically related to them (since my dad was adopted). I'd only want to live longer if my health would somehow get better. I find few things enjoyable to being old, which are unfortunately limited to: 1) spoiling grandchild (which I'll never have, because I'm child-free by choice), and 2) getting away with things that adults get punished for (but I would never want to be one of THOSE people). And I can go on about how youth is lauded (especially in attractive women) and old age is despised (especially if you're poor and seen as a burden). But this comment would never end.
