Yes, it is perfectly normal. The media is celebrating the mentally deranged freaks who refer to themselves as "transexuals." But it is natural to be disgusted by those degenerates
it is not disgusting it is confronting yes and a little creepy but after you get use to it they seem alright. As long as they do not force anything onto you , it is really non of our business they were not born to make us feel comfortable.
You can be creped out by it but that does not give you or anyone for that matter the right to psychically hurt them. I understand that it can be upsetting that you found out your gf or bf was once a m or a f. to tell the truth unless i was madly in love with them i might have a problem although i would rather them be honest with me before getting into a romantic relationship.
As for friendship wise i would just want my friend to be happy and if that meant changing their sex then i say let them change their sex and the people that have a problem with it can just GTFO and should stop caring about what other people are doing and start focusing on their phatic existence instead of focusing on other people lives and also they should stop getting in the way of peoples happiness.
Is it normal that I don't want to date a trans person?

Transexuality is disgusting, and don't try to force me to accept people who can't accept themselves!
