I have a friend that is from a mega-wealthy family.
She got married on the beach on St. John where I have a house. Her dress was a fun little sun dress that cost about $80 on St. Thomas. Officiating was a friend of mine that charged nothing. The beach cost nothing and the reception at the house (raiding my supply of Red Stripe on tap) cost nothing. (I've done weddings for three of my friends there.)
When she got back to NYC she invited the friends that couldn't make it to the wedding to frosties at a Midtown Wendy's.
That's the fun stuff you remember. Not how much your flowers cost.
