What I have witnessed in my 38 years of living is marriage does not hold it's sacred status anymore and does not mean what it is ment for anymore. I have never been married because every female I have been with backstabbed me in some sort of way. There is no such thing as loyalty, trust, honesty or working things out with another person anymore. It only consists of what you can give me and what you can do for me while I still stay with you. I would just stay alone and have girls or boys on the side ( what ever is your choice in sex ) and just have fun.
Phd's? Um, academic pursuits? Ha ha, awesome!
This marriage thing? I'm on the same page. I don't give a hoot for it. Granted, I would do it for financial reasons. If there's an economic benefit? Sure. But, I've seen relatives go through divorce. The lawyers!! OMG, Nooo! That, and marriage looks boring as all hell.
Is it normal to not want to get married? You know, this habit is becoming far more acceptable (yay!). But, most people in the United States seem to eventually succumb to this cultural norm. So, it's not normal, I suppose.
Please tell me you don't want kids either?? Yay, if true, lol. No kids = more sleep, more money, more time.
Way too many people are having kids just because it's a cultural norm. Wait a few years, those same people that procreated their little heathens tend to look like vacant-eyed zombies. Did not a one of these people pay attention in school? I guess not.
No kids, No marriage? You'll probably die and leave nothing in this world. At least by having kids and raising them right you might be able to do some good and have some kind of legacy. And i come from a place really far from the united states so it's pretty norm in a lot more places.
