It's very good that your parents care about you, but they appear to be snobs too, which isn't. Besides, I think they would want you to find love. Money is a just teensy less important than love, don't ya think?
Of course I'm not sure, I've never met them in my life. But assuming they care about you, yes. Why wouldn't 18 be a good age to find love? Life is short.
