Pregnancy is always possible, with or without birth control. Hormonal birth control such as the pill just highly reduces the risk of pregnancy, by 99.9% when used effectively.
Since you're a guy I'm guessing you didn't consider this, but the pill actually prevents pregnancy in 3 ways - it prevents ovulation. No egg to fertilise, no baby. It thickens cervical mucus, and it changes the uterine lining in such a way that its highly unreceptive to a blastocyte (fertilised egg).
The pill has a million other health benefits, so don't try tell her not to take it.
Uh, he's not telling his gf to NOT take the pill, he just doesn't think it'll be 100% full proof -- he wants to be extra careful, so he wants to use the condom.
IIN that I don't trust my girlfriend on The Pill?
