I don't like the Asian/Black/[insert race here] Student Organizations at my school. In my opinion, they're just segregating us, and the members are segregating themselves. They always say that no one should be judged because of their skin color, and then they go to a club doing just that. Does anyone else feel the same way?
Yeah I don't fuck with those kinds of organizations either, mostly because I'm a white. And they won't dare make an organization specifically geared for whites.
There will always be ethnic communities.
The clubs are there to bring them together and to invite people who are new to the area that may have difficulties adjusting or making friends.
You do have some valid points.
Sometimes they stress the differences between races / cultures more than the commonalities.
I had no idea idea that they did it like that. I thought these clubs were usually geared towards interests,etc. I'd hate it too. The school is segregating the students by trying to deem it as except able via these "clubs". You should gather some like minded individuals and protest or call up the school and complain.
I agree. And I don't understand the reason why you have such a low ''normal or not'' score!
Organizations like those only promote division, like you had said.
People on the outside looking in view it as an exclusive club/group and it only further separates us.
