Is it normal that I don't like my food to touch

  • Normal for someone with Autism. We had to get a special plate for my son to keep the food separate, because if they touched, he'd not eat it.

      • Like everything to do with Autism, it's not "All" Autistics - but there is a definite tendency. There has to be, we got his plate through a specialist "Autistic supplier". LOL

        • Yep :p My dad sometimes makes dinner and may sometimes put food on top of each other or where it's touching, I get irritated and move the food so there separate and tell him to not do that (even though he'll forget and do it again lol)

          • LOL - My son was so bad you couldn't put gravy ON his meat, you had to put it in it's own separate walled compartment. He would then dip the meat (chips whatever) into the gravy. Fun times. LOL
