Yes, it's completely normal! I get sick of this shit too. Just last night a black girl with dreads shoved this girl to the ground, choked her and stole her purse then ran away at my university.
And for everyone who thinks they're sooo enlightened or moral, why don't you try using your brain:
It's completely and totally normal and RATIONAL to "judge" a group of people based on the large sample that you've encountered.
Think about it like this: if every time you see someone who wears a certain style clothing, lets say a red hat and jacket, they are aggressive, rude, loud, obnoxious, and ONLY people wearing red hats and jackets have mugged your friends, robbed your place of employment etc....wouldn't YOU be more on guard/reserved around and maybe even have a negative opinion of people who wear that same style of red hats and jackets?
It's the same with race, and knowing someone who doesn't fit the "stereotype" doesn't make that any less true. There are ALWAYS exceptions, but their is a reason people tend to make decisions off of noticed patterns and past experience...it's because it makes RATIONAL sense! It's an evolutionary defense & survival mechanism. Use your brain dumbasses.
This is totally normal, and I say this having a female black friend. And she knows what I believe. We have argued about it and she had to concede to my point. And no, I am not claiming "I'm not racist!! I have a black friend!!" because I honestly don't give a shit what you label me. I'm just speaking the truth. If the truth is "racist" then so be it.
