Is it normal that i don't know how to love?

My family has never and I mean never said "I love you" or hugged each other or talk frequently. For the majority (20 0f 23 years) of my life, my mother and father have slept in different floors of my house.I am starting to think that this is the reason why I cannot love anyone, because I don't truly know how to do it? I would like to love but can you really produce an emotion if you have never experienced it?

Is It Normal?

  • Unfortunately, your family are your socializing agents. They teach you what is considered normal in society. It is normal for you to feel like you have never or will never experience love but don't give up on yourself just yet. Posting this up is a sign that you are concerned about your ability to love. If you want to love, you will. Might sound silly but try getting a pet and forming a bond with them.

  • Expressing love is not something that can be taught. When a person expresses real love, true love, there is no guide or plan.

  • Yes you just have to learn what it is and start experiencing it from this age yeah you might be a little bit colder but then again it could be worse you could be like the people who know what love is but just dont feel it nor want to.
