Is it normal that i don't have a best friend?

In high school, I had a few super close best friends who I did everything with. Sleepovers, friend dates, even our moms hung out. We've kinda lost touch in college, and now that we have all graduated college we all live in different cities and jobs we just aren't as close as we used to be. I made a lot of new friends in college, but I'm not that close with any of them in particular. I'm thankful I have some friends/acquaintances, but I miss the fun of having super close best friends that you can tell absolutely anything. Is this normal?

    Who needs a best friend or friend? Most times they bring you down and give you the wrong advice and are not supportive anyway. I say fuck friends! Sometimes it’s best to alone and have associates.

    I think it is normal. I was really good friends with a whole bunch of kids my age when I was a teenager, but now that I am in college, we have all pretty much stopped talking.

    Very normal. What I realized after high school is that people really can get caught up in their own lives to the point that they unintentionally distance themselves from others. That’s why you should try to be that friend (or find friends) who are willing to put in that effort to stay connected. Life happens but from my experience people can also just be lazy. I’m really thankful that I have about 3-5 friends who are literally at opposite corners of the US, even some abroad who still will make time to hang out. Heck my best bud and I are already picking dates in 2019 to meet up.

    I think a lot of people don't tbh. So log as you can make some close friends (which you probably will over time) then don't worry about having a best friend.

    I only say yes because i don’t either. In fact I don’t have any friends ( honestly don’t) but I think it’s some what normal
