I think it's a bit of perspective here. Depression is usually accompanied by a feeling that things won't get better in many cases, isn't it? If so, it makes perfect sense that someone coming out of depression could lack understanding as to how those in depression are feeling.
This. When you are depressed you simply don't have the energy to fight back and work hard. Hard work is in fact yet another aggression that makes you want to run for the hills and die. It's even worse if you are socially anxious and work involves dealing with workaholic doers and other bullies.
It is the exact opposite, I understand perfectly how they feel. Only someone that has been there can truly know how it feels.
What frustrates me is the fact that these people usually don't make any effort at all to get better. They just want a fairy to give them a magical pill that will solve all their problems.
Is it normal that I don't feel empathy for people with "issues"?
