Sounds like you're at a different place in your recovery than these people who have the "issues" and with whom you can't relate. Maybe these people haven't reached their bottom yet? I do understand your frustration with those who abuse drugs and alcohol. I've been working on myself for the last four years and I know I've got a long way to go so basically when I see that someone is a drunk or a junkie or some other kind of flake I put my running shoes on and hit the road. All the best you.
Is it normal that I don't feel empathy for people with "issues"?
